  I expect that this is a cosmic ray hit on the CCD. Any one have a different theory? Ex: http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/hotshots/2003_01_17/

  Not sure about cosmic ray hit... Non-linear, poorly defined edges on zooming in, might be more suggestive of software processing error?

  Well, it is at the corner of the field of view. Maybe you can try solarmonitor.org, and see if there are any clues in the full-disk image.
